Connecting a channel
Connect the inbox or chat account your customers actually write to. Each connected channel is triaged and drafted independently, with its own voice and behavior settings.
Free channels
- Email (IMAP/SMTP): connect almost any mailbox directly with a username and password: WEB.DE, GMX, T-Online, IONOS, mailbox.org, Fastmail, or a custom domain.
- Telegram bot: connect an official Telegram Bot API bot. No paid plan required.
Paid channels (hosted sign-in)
- Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, and a personal Telegram account connect through a hosted sign-in screen instead of a password, and require a paid plan. Gmail and Outlook no longer allow plain password IMAP access, which is why they use this hosted flow rather than the IMAP form above.
Connecting more mailboxes than your plan includes may add a flat per-mailbox fee. You'll be asked to confirm before anything extra is added.
Connect an email inbox (IMAP)
- In Settings → Channels, click Connect IMAP mailbox.
- Enter the address, then pick your provider from the preset list. It fills in the correct server settings for you. If your provider isn't listed, open the advanced fields and enter the IMAP/SMTP host, port, and encryption yourself.
- Enter the mailbox's username and password.
- Click Test connection to confirm the login works before you save anything.
- Click Connect to finish.
Once connected, only new incoming mail is picked up automatically. To pull in older messages (and let the assistant learn your writing style from what you've already sent) run the import step afterwards and choose how far back to go.
Connect a Telegram bot
- In Telegram, message @BotFather and send
/newbot, following its prompts to create a bot and get a token. - In Settings → Channels, click Telegram bot, paste the token, and click Connect bot.
- The token is verified and the webhook is registered automatically, no account login, no session. The bot starts forwarding messages right away.
